Admiralty Boatswains Pipe. Made to the original Acme design of 1870.
Originally used for giving commands to the crew its high pitched
notes could be heard even in gale conditions. Now largely ceremonial
it comes with a leaflet of instructions and historical data. Each pipe is hand tuned to produce the full range of notes. It is the only pipe used for competition piping or officially approved. It is used by Navies around the world |
